Saguaro Sunset Band is a 4 to 5-piece group that performs regularly here in the Valley Of The Sun in Phoenix, Arizona and surrounding areas since 2002. Our shows and dances have met with rave reviews from audiences at resorts, festivals, clubs, and private parties. Our 'Southwest Sound' is a combination of old and new Country music with a little Old Time Rock & Roll, and a few Standards. Songs that sing to folks here! We are a LIVE band and use no prerecorded or 'canned' background music. Did I say that loud enough? We are a LIVE band...our drummer's name is Kevin, not Roland, he has drum sticks and a drum set...not a box that would fit in your home entertainment center. Our extensive song list says a lot about who we are, but the final decision on what we play is the ear of the listener. Our recordings (above) are not studio enhanced and convey the actual sound of the group in live performance. We are not a band who 'meets at the door' or only does a couple of performances a month during 'the season'. We are a working band year round. We have honed our arrangements through rehearsal and performance to create a tight sound. Our specialty is the 55+ communities here in the Valley of the Sun, where the focus is on DANCE music. We'll get your toes tapping and your feet moving with line dances, waltzes, sock hop rock & roll, two-steps, a polka, and maybe even a schottische! So much for the 'sales pitch'...as I said...we stand by what we have done...if you like our audio samples...you'll like us.
I had the honor of serving with US Air Force Bands for 20+ years, performing in over 28 countries, and spent a year working on Princess Cruises ships as a musician afterwards. With that experience behind me, I take pride in offering a group of quality musicians and performers. I auditioned each and every one of them. We're a band of PLAYERS...
...and what you can expect at any performance is...quality.
